Our Head coach Zoran Lukic speaks after the final game

Our Head coach Zoran Lukic speaks after the final game of the group series of VTB United League vs Lithuanian Zalgiris in which Nizhny Novgorod lost 62:69.

During the three quarters we showed high quality basketball. Even the Lithuanians gave us their high appraisals after the game. Although the fourth quarter brought around the inevitable due to the time on the floor by the roster, players were merely exhausted. Before the match we lost Vladimir Ivlev who suffered back pains. So everyone's game was supposed to be extremely though over. That's why I'm upset by Ivan Saveliev's egoistic performance, when he had to pass the ball straight to the center under the basket, he somehow managed to take the wrong decision thrice. I have to say that because in the games like this every detail counts. And those episodes affected the result. I also wanted to thank Dijon Thompson who stepped on the floor with tonsillitis and now it's clear that we'll lose one of our leaders for some time. Actually we're now facing some complicated situation with a decision yet to be found.
