Nizhny Novgorod is back with One Team sessions. This week One Team coach Marko Nestorovic and BC Nizhny Novgorod forward Aleksandr Gudumak visited our friends from boarding school #8 with a new workshop. Before the practice they presented kids with new balls to renew their basketball implements.
Dijon Thompson comes back to Nizhny Novgorod
BC Nizhny Novgorod adds Dijon Thompson (33y.o., 201cm, 88kg) to its roster. American forward spent two years in our club in 2012-2014 and helped the team to become vice-champions in VTB League. The new contract runs unti the end of 2017-2018 season.

In the game with Zenit St. Petersburg DeAndre Kane became weekly MVP due to his performance index rating of 39, which was the highest PIR among winning players. He scored 31 points (10 of 12 2-point shots) and added 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 drown fouls to his statistics. His PIR and scoring registers are both career records for him.

Nizhny Novgorod decided to opt out of the contract with Latvian guard Ingus Jakovics. We thank Ingus for his spell in our club and wish him good luck in future career.
In the fith week of One Team project BC Nizhny Novgorod and kids from boarding school #8 decided to visit trampolining park “Up!”. The main goal of this event was to show special kids how to blow off the steam in a positive way and control internal aggression through sport and divertissement. During two hours the kids were having fun on trampoline under control of One Team coach Marko Nestorovic.
Nizhny Novgorod adds Tomislav Zubcic
BC NN made an agreement with Croatian center and power forward Tomislav Zubcic (211cm, 110kg, 26 y.o.). He started the season in Avtodor Saratov, participated in six games in VTB League, averaging 11,8 points; 5,2 rebounds and 2 assists. The contract with Nizhny runs until the end of the season.
BC Nizhny Novgorod guard Ivan Strebkov collected 31 points in the game with Lietkabelis, Lithuania (91:89). He showed performance index rating of 36 and scored 5 of 8 twos, 4 of 6 threes and 9 of 9 free throws; 2 rebounds; 4 assists and 7 drawn fouls. Strebkov had career records in both PIR and scoring from this game.
