Fifty not sacrifice?
In the first home game of 2014 basketball club "Nizhny Novgorod" destroyed Estonian «Kalev" win by 50 points. About any underestimation of the opponent, closing standings VTB United League, was not even mentioned. Even with the difference in sweep thirty points, the players BC "NN" continued to put pressure on the Tallinn team, not allowing doubt his professionalism.
The first victory of 2014
The second stage of the European Cup basketball club "Nizhny Novgorod" began with a confident victory over "Panionios". In Greece, the team running Zoran Lukic felt at home and did not allow the Greeks to use the host's position. Note and a great debut in the "citizens" of the American defender Taylor Rochesti.
"Morning" is not good
New Year basketball club "Nizhny Novgorod" began defeat in the away match of VTB United League against "Lietuvos Rytas", whose name translates as Lithuanian morning. After spending four different quarters, "citizens" could not cope with an opponent. In the opening and third periods boys Zoran Lukic were no worse enemy. In the away game of the 9th tour of VTB United League BC Nizhny Novgorod gave in to the Enisey from Krasnoyarsk. The whole match was played equally even with some advantage for BCNN in the end. But loosing three of its leaders: Panin, Antonov and Babbitt to the fouls limit did not let the team make it till the winning end.

In the 9th tour Eurocup game the Turkish TED Ankara won over Nizhny Nivgorod, while the game was played on the equal level by both teams.
It's time for fiesta
The home game with the Polish Turov in the VTB United League became our 9th triumph in the row. After some struggle with Zoran's pack the visitors from Zgozelec had to let go anyway.
Pass to the next Eurocup level
It took an overtime for BC Nizhny Novgorod to get this hard away victory against Buducnost in the 8th tour of the Eurocup. It was the team's 6th victory in the Eurocup and the 8th of the last 8 games. Two tours before the end of the first stage we entered the Last 32 of this big European tournament.
Tiger hunting or the seventh win in the row
The seventh victory for BC Nizhny Novgorod during the away game with Ukranian Donetsk also helped our club to outstrip the "tigers" in the United VTB League fixture list. Therefore the "citizens" entered the four strongest teams in the A group for the first time.
